On a family Thanksgiving trip to Munich, we happened upon the Zum Wildschütz restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we proceeded to have the best meal of our lives. Astounded by the experience, Brooke Ashland visited the kitchen to pay her compliments to award-winning Bavarian Chef Dieter Platte, and with a handshake, walked out with a three-month internship secured for Hilary, who had recently graduated from culinary school. Hilary returned from the experience with hundreds of authentic recipes and secret sauces passed along from Chef Dieter which became the foundation our authentic Bavarian menu.
